Staff check-in through the mobile app is validated against the academy's GPS geofence. The system captures the device's GPS coordinates at the moment of check-in and verifies they fall within the configured radius (typically 50-200 meters from the campus center). If the location is outside the geofence, the check-in is flagged as "out-of-zone" and an alert is sent to the administrator.
This prevents proxy attendance — staff cannot check in from home or a coffee shop. The system also logs the check-out location, creating a complete movement record for the day. Multiple check-in/check-out pairs are supported for staff who leave campus during the day (field work, errands) with each entry/exit logged separately.
Students carry a unique QR code — displayed on their mobile app or printed on their ID card — that they scan at the academy entrance. The scanning takes less than 1 second and logs the student's entry with timestamp, device used for scanning, and a photo capture (if cameras are enabled at the entry point). The system instantly updates the attendance dashboard and triggers parent notifications.
